Well, we are well on our way into this new year. The kids have been working sooooo hard and many have been fighting flus and colds! Mr. Stevenson, our student teacher, has begun teaching many subject areas such as math(geometry), science(natural resources), language arts(Hatchet novel study), and PE(basketball). We are also celebrating Multicultural Week where many of our students participated in a school assembly on Monday where we shared various things about Japan. All of the students have participated in some Japanese painting and Kanji painting. We have been learning facts about countries as well as listening to music, trying art ideas and learning games from a variety of places around the world!! It has been great so far! The kids are putting together a Multicultural Week portfolio that they will bring home next week upon its completion.
