April 21

Well folks...Spring is upon us and the sun is finally shining! We have soooo much going on that the days are just flying by. We have been researching party platforms for the upcoming federal election and the students will be presenting this information to other intermediate students so that  all the intermediates can make informed decisions before they vote on April 28th. These results will be accessible on election day (May 2nd) and I will post the website.
We are very fortunate to have a volunteer from the Junior Achievement program coming into our classroom for four one hour sessions to teach the students about business, money and the economy. This should be a valuable learning experience for our class. Watch for a parent letter to come home for further information.
Next Friday, April 29th, the grade 6's will be walking to 4 Cats Art Studio for a special experience that our grade 6's enjoy every year.
Many students are currently involved in soccer and cross country at Lakewood and very soon it will be time for track and field to begin. This year it has been especially difficult to train for these activities as we have such limited outdoor space but dedicated teachers are doing everything they can to make these activities possible, including using Millstream School's fields when available.
News regarding year end field trips will be soon to follow.
Enjoy your LOOOOONG weekend!
